La Porte de Mars

25 kilometres south of Reims


The town is well known as the capital of the champagne producing region of France: Épernay is a town with a rich appearance because of the large town houses and other buildings constructed (mainly from the 19th century) based on the wealth of the champagne.

L’Avenue de Champagne



The Avenue de Champagne, formerly known as the Avenue du Commerce, stretches for almost a kilometre. Over the centuries, the Champagne Houses have built magnificent residences on either side of it, either as the headquarters of their Brand or as their owners' homes. Their architecture is a hymn to the Brand and to champagne.
The Avenue de Champagne is part of the Coteaux, Maisons et Caves de Champagne listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Le Mont Bernon



In 1934, the summit of Mount Bernon was classified as a natural monument. In 1963, this classification was extended to the whole of the Mount in order to protect the whole site, which contains a certain diversity of plants and animals.

At 207 metres above sea level, Mount Bernon, located near the town, offers a magnificent circular panorama of our wine-growing area. From the viewpoints, visitors can admire the historic hillsides, the Côte des Blancs, the town centre of Epernay and the Châlonnais plain.
